In a fairly long period of time, when industrialized countries produced steel-making pig iron, they tried to reduce the amount of manganese ore they added in order to reduce the production cost of pig iron. To this end, the Czech Iron and Steel Institute and some metallurgical plants, experimental study of the above problems. This article describes the test results and production comparison data obtained at Special Paynees Steel. In November 1986 and in September 1987, a two-cycle productive trial was carried out at special-duty Steelnet. The test is 350 cycles per cycle. For comparison, one more month of production data was observed, collected and analyzed in October 1986. The purpose of the first production test cycle is to understand the changes in the oxygen converter production process. It is planned to reduce the Mn content in pig iron by 0.20%, to reduce the content of Mn in pig iron from 0.70% to 0.50%, actually to 0.426%.
