人体在新陈代谢过程中(包括患病过程中)会产生不少“废物”,常见的如氨类、肌肝、尿素氮等,另外还包括从不洁空气中(汽车尾气、香烟等)会吸入的大量有毒有害气体和微粒。尽管人体内部具有一定清除自身“毒素”、净化血液的能力,但当体内废物积蓄过多或机体解毒排污功能减弱,废物不能有效地按时排出时,就将对身体造成极为不利的影响。研究表明,科学地选择如下食物,有助于排出人体产生的多种“毒素”。这类食物主要有:
