Doris Lessing, a Nobel Prize-winning literature, was a Marxist early, allowing her to examine the state of the society and reflect on various issues from a Marxist standpoint. Through a detailed description of the living conditions of the heroine Marie and her husband, the novel The Wild Grass is Singing, which explores the theme of “human existence.” This article reveals the social causes of the tragedies of individual existence in Western societies: the economic background of distress, the narrow racial conventions and Cruel class struggle.
