摘要：Other than, rather than 等小品词在英语学习中经常碰到；在高考、英语四、六级考试、及研究生资格等的考试中也常常是语义、语法的考点。初学者容易混淆它们的用法，本文通过收集其短语、例句来帮助其释辨。

1. other than
other 是一形容词或代词，这里与介词than连用，构成一种固定搭配。《牛津高阶英汉双解词典》注明: ( usually used in negative sentences 通常用于否定句 ) 1. except除…以外；2. different or differently from; 不同；不同于; 不
