制度伦理是道德适应现代化条件下的社会生活的必然表现。制度伦理化是社会成员对于国家或政府的道德要求,伦理的制度化是国家对于社会成员个人的普遍要求,二者具有一致性。制度伦理的提出使道德对社会生活的干预具有了可操作性和直接性、可预期性和确定性,丰富了伦理学研究的内容,推动了伦理学理论的发展。制度伦理不关心人生的社会价值和意义,容易将道德工具化;制度伦理容易弱化人们的道德主体意识,使道德面临着失去存在的合理性的危险;制度伦理排除了传统道德的影响,使道德失去了历史的根基。建设有中国特色的社会主义道德,需要利用传统的道德资源以保持自己的民族特色,需要坚持社会主义的道德原则和规范给人们以价值的引导,需要注重人的美德的培养以使社会的道德获得坚实的基础。因此,道德建设不应仅仅局限于制度伦理的层面,而应该是上述各个方面的有机构成。
