CSM 胶乳是山西省建筑科学研究所于77年研制开发的四种新型胶乳中的一种。85～87年又在承担建设部下达的科研开发项目“CSM 复合防水材料,防水涂料的研制应用”的基础上又进行了大量的应用开发研究,使生产工艺更趋完善,于87年10月在太原晋阳湖建筑涂料厂正式建厂投产;同年又与湖南益阳市化工一厂签订技术转让及联合生产协泌书,议定在88年二季度建成车间正式出产品,益阳化工一厂是国家生产 CSM 干胶的专业厂,在该厂直接用其中间品生产胶乳,有很多优点,可进一步减少材耗,降低造价,提高生产效率。
