In order to master and allocate time correctly in class, it is inevitable to look at the watch. It seems that this is a very simple matter. It is actually quite stressful. Because every time the teacher looks at the watch, “information reaction” may occur in the students. For example, there is a teacher who watches about five minutes from class every time. This means that the teaching tasks for this class are about to be completed. In the long run, students will have a psychological tendency: When the teacher looks at the watch, it means that the class is fast. The students responded by receiving information about the coming class: The brain’s nerves are immediately relaxed from the state of positive thinking; the attentional points are shifted; the desire to go out of class occurs, and so on. In this way, the teaching effect of the next few minutes will be greatly reduced. Some inexperienced young teachers must look at five or six times per class, which is more likely to cause students’ “psychological interference.” Therefore, the teacher must watch the watch to be secretive and not be perceived by the students. First, there is not much teaching experience, and it is necessary to teach the watch several times during class.
