本文简要讨论将西方现代艺术理论引入视觉文化研究和教学的实践问题。本文采用潘诺夫斯基的图像学理论,从中国文化对日本文化的影响讨论教学实践。西方有学者认为,潘氏图像学只适合于阐释西方文艺复兴式的艺术作品,另有学者则持不同意见。本文即持后一意见。文中所涉及的跨文化研究个案,既有西方理论与东方实践的空间跨度研究,也有中国南宋、日本江户、西方现代的时间跨度研究。
This article briefly discusses the practical issues of introducing Western modern art theory into visual culture research and teaching. This article adopts Panovsky’s image theory to discuss teaching practice from the influence of Chinese culture on Japanese culture. Some Western scholars believe that PAN’s imagery is only suitable for interpreting Western Renaissance works of art, while other scholars hold different opinions. This article is to hold the latter opinion. The cross-cultural studies involved in this paper are not only the study of the spatial span of western theory and oriental practice but also the study of the time span of Southern Song Dynasty in China, Edo in Japan and modern western history.
