卫星技术传统上一直用以提供广播类或者长距离中继通信线路服务。当商业用户对集成的(成批的或多路传输的)服务通信要求有高的传输速率和较好的费用可控性。卫星通信工业能响应这样的要求,在于卫星通信网固有的模式与灵活性。卫星通信网络采用广域模拟网络元件构成,因而能具有很大的灵活性并能适应不同用户的不同要求。卫星通讯系统集传输与转换这两种功能,可以应用户要求提供宽带与窄带通信,点到点的联系以及广播等业务项目。
Satellite technology has traditionally been used to provide broadcast or long-distance trunk communication line services. When commercial users require high transmission rates and better cost control over integrated (bulk or multiplexed) service communications. The satellite communications industry can respond to such demands by the inherent mode and flexibility of satellite communications networks. The satellite communications network uses a wide range of analog network elements, which gives it great flexibility and adapts to the different needs of different users. The satellite communication system integrates both functions of transmission and conversion, and can provide broadband and narrowband communication, point-to-point connection and broadcasting and other business projects according to user requirements.
