数学思想是指数量关系和空间形式反映在人的意识中经过思维活动而产生的结果,是对数学知识和方法的本质认识,是对数学规律的理性认识.数学思想就是人们对数学知识和方法形成的规律的理性认识、基本看法.数学方法是指人们解决数学问题的步骤、程序和格式,是实施有关数学思想的技术手段.在基本理念中,《数学课程标准(试验稿)》要求学生“真正理解和掌握基本的数学知识与技能、数学思想和方法”.由此可见,数学思想方法越来越成为了数学教学的核心内容.
