当前我国许多档案部门,应用计算机进行档案目录(文件级)存储、检索的试验,证明了建立档案机检系统的优越性与可行性。然而由试验转向实用阶段,人们感到困难的是前处理工作量太大。即按照档案著录规则,为每个文件用手工填写纸质的著录卡片,需要大量人力和很长时间,以致有些同志为此望面生畏。从若干单位的档案著录与机检试验中,我们认识到前处理工作是可以大大简化的。如果某个档案部门实行建立计算机检索系统,那么它就不必再用手工填写纸质的档案著录卡片。在利用原有的手工检索工具,补以主题词和分类号的标引后,将著录项目直接输入计算机。然后,用计算机编制和输出多种类的完全符合著录规则的档案文件卡片或书本式目录。这样做可以节省大量的重复劳动。对大多数档案馆、室收藏的建国后档案和科技档案来说,文件的题名、责任者、时间、文件字号和档号等,在现有的检索工具如全引目录、文件卡片、卷内文件目录中,
