Somatomedins (SM) is a class of low molecular weight peptides found in plasma, regulated by pituitary growth hormone (GH), promoting growth in both target tissues and insulin-like action (ILA) Material collectively. As early as 1956 Sa-lmon and Daughaday are called vulcanization factors (SF) and later (Daughaday et al., 1972) were renamed as SM, SM to distinguish from other peptide hormones: (1) have the same biological effect; (2) ) Binds to larger carriers in the circulation; (3) is produced in the liver rather than in some gland. Structure and physico-chemical properties of SM
