老舍先生的《茶馆》即将由北京人民艺术剧院上演了.这个戏的内容横亘五十年,概括了清末、民初及抗日战争胜利后三个时期,规模宏大,人物众多.如何将这样幅度广阔、势若长虹的剧作搬上舞台呢!3月21日我去访问了该剧的两位导演焦菊隐和夏淳同志,请他们谈谈对剧本的认识与构思.作为一个导演,在排《茶馆》这样体裁别致的剧本时,不会遇到困难么?夏淳同志回答道:“最近我常想,老舍先生是著名的小说家,但解放后,他主要的创作活动是在剧作方面.为什么他舍自己所长而取自己所不’长’呢?老舍先生从来是不反对赶任务的,可能是他感到戏剧能够更直接地把他所要写的人物形象体现在观众面前,具有更大感染
