汉武帝“独尊儒术”后儒学向经学演变。这为儒者开辟了政治的通路,但儒学发展的文化空间受到了规范。这是传统文化意义上学术和政治关系的一种新模式。对皇权政治体制而言,经学并非其遵循的常道,而只是其常用的思想工具。由于受到皇权的影响,经学在建构精神家园方面始终难以超越纲常名教的藩篱,也不能在孔孟之道基础上实现政治理念的革命,没能直接转化成引领中华文明现代化的意识形态。晚清废科举和辛亥革命使儒学在新的文化平台上回归学术的本位。当代中国人可在儒学基础上创新中国文化。
Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty Evolution of Confucianism to Confucian Classics after Confucianism alone. This opened up political channels for the Confucians, but the cultural space for the development of Confucianism was regulated. This is a new model of academic and political relations in the traditional culture. For the imperialist political system, the study of the sutra is not the common way it follows, but only its common ideological tool. Due to the influence of the imperial power, the study of Confucian classics can hardly surpass the barriers of the most famous teachings in the construction of spiritual homeland, nor can it realize the revolution of political ideas on the basis of Confucius and Mencius, nor can it directly transform into the ideology of leading the modernization of Chinese civilization. The late imperial civil examinations and the Revolution of 1911 brought Confucianism back to its academic standard in the new cultural platform. Contemporary Chinese can innovate Chinese culture on the basis of Confucianism.
