在清朝“洋务运动”时期,一批早期的改良主义知识分子在出使西方进行文化考察的过程中,留下了不少关于西方油画的记载。这些珍贵的文献资料折射出这样一个事实:在国运渐衰的背景下,一部分较早觉醒的知识分子能够抛开偏见,开始将目光投向西方文化艺术领域。 During the Qing Dynasty and the Westernization Movement, a group of early reformist intellectuals left a lot of records about Western oil paintings in their efforts to conduct cultural studies in the West. These precious documents reflect the fact that in the context of the decline of national transport, some of the earlier awakened intellectuals were able to put aside their prejudices and begin to look to the field of western culture and the arts.
