The typical technical problems of the application of polycarboxylate water-reducing agent (PCE) in concrete engineering are summarized, including the sharp decline of PCE dispersibility caused by the high clay content of sandstone, unreasonable concrete mix design, Excretion of water and viscosity is too high; and mixed with PCE mixed concrete poor workability, slump retention is not ideal, the early strength after hardening slow development. A detailed mechanistic analysis of these technical issues has been made, and effective solutions have been put forward from the preparation, compounding and other aspects of PCE.
