通过大量野外调查、室内外饲养、造林试验和化学成分分析，认为苦楝树（Ｍｅｌｉａａｚｅｄａｒａｃｈ）是星天牛（Ａｎｏｐｌｏｐｈｏｒａｃｈｉｎｅｎｓｉｓ（Ｆｏｒｓｔｅｒ））成虫最喜欢取食的补充营养植物，有强烈的诱集作用。以苦楝树做诱饵树集中诱杀沿海木麻黄（Ｃａｓｕａｒｉａｓｐｐ．）防护林星天牛是一种很有前途、可行性强的防治方法。
Through extensive field investigation, indoor and outdoor feeding, afforestation experiments and chemical composition analysis, Melia azedarach was considered as a favorite nutrient supplement plant for adults of Anoplophorachinensis (Forster) and had a strong trapping effect.
