Blood pressure variability (BPV) refers to the degree of fluctuations in blood pressure over a period of time. Under physiological conditions, BPV is regulated by both endogenous mechanisms and various factors outside the body. The antihypertensive effect and antihypertensive effect may also affect BPV in patients [1]. BPV generally adopts the standard deviation of multiple blood pressure readings over a period of time, the coefficient of variation or the coefficient of variation independent of the mean as its quantitative index, and also the average of the absolute difference between two adjacent blood pressure readings over a period of time.
