艺术为人类文明中重要的一部分,毋庸置疑。艺术与宗教、哲学、科学、道德、历史等等共同构成了社会本身,而每一部分又有其独立的、特殊的、区别他物的性质,不容混淆。但这种界限和意义似乎从未明晰了然。艺术曾经一度被称为工具,或是作为宗教弘法道具,或是作为道德宣传工具,或是服务于某一政治目的。及至近世,则或倡言为人生而艺术,或宣告为艺术而艺术。艺术终结、绘画死亡等论说也纷纭不已。种种此类,不禁使人发问:艺术是否
Art is an important part of human civilization, no doubt.
