先天性腭裂病人手术后语音恢复的关键在于腭咽闭合功能的再建。目前,在国外有一种比较先进的,能客观检查腭咽闭合功能的仪器是腭鼻咽光导纤维镜。医生可通过光导纤维镜直接窥视到病人语音时的腭咽部闭合情况;可查明闭合不完全的部位,裂隙的大小等,并可进行照像或电视显像,以供研究。但这种仪器价格昂贵,不易普及应用。因而设计制造一种能客观读数反映出病人腭咽闭合的恢复程度,并能较普遍推广应用的仪器是很必要的。
