随着英语这门语言国际地位的逐渐提升,对于多数高职院校而言,学生英语水平的高低则成为了衡量他们综合素质的一大标准。由于高职院校的学校英语基础整体比较差,而学校本身的办学条件也不够完善,从而使得英语这门学科成为了高职教育教学中的薄弱环节。必要明确的是:这一现状的出现不但影响到高职院校英语教学活动的有效开展,而且对我国整个英语教育事业的发展也会产生重要影响。鉴于此,本文主要站在一个高职院校英语教师的角度,并针对当前高职院校英语教育的现状发表一些自己的想法。
With the gradual improvement of the international status of English as a language, for most higher vocational colleges, the level of students’ English has become a measure of their overall quality. Due to the relatively poor foundation of English in higher vocational colleges as a whole, the condition of running the school itself is not perfect enough, making the English subject a weak link in the teaching of higher vocational education. It is necessary to make it clear that the emergence of this status not only affects the effective implementation of English teaching activities in higher vocational colleges but also has an important influence on the development of our entire English education. In view of this, this article mainly stands in the perspective of English teachers in a vocational college, and gives some opinions on the current situation of English education in vocational colleges.
