始祖信仰作为古老的文化传统在民族发展过程中占有重要地位,对确认民族身份具有标志性意义,对民族身份的建构发挥着基础性和关键性的作用。始祖信仰是民间信仰的一部分,即是非物质文化遗产的重要内容,但古今文化的巨大差异,导致古老信仰的生存相当脆弱,其保护的难度超过了其它文化遗产。尤其是始祖信仰的研究缺少现代关怀意识,缺乏具体时空下的文化和历史考证,缺乏现代生活下的民族志资料,如何才能使这种古老的传统在现代生活中得到有效的繁衍和传承?近期,笔者拜读了林继富教授的《清江流域土家族始祖信仰现代表述研究》,认为此本著作以清江流域的土家族始祖信仰为研究对象,很好地解决了上述问题。
As an ancient cultural tradition, ancestral beliefs occupy an important position in the process of national development. They have landmark significance in confirming national identity and play a fundamental and pivotal role in the construction of national identity. Ancestor beliefs are part of folk beliefs, that is, an important part of the intangible cultural heritage. However, the vast differences between ancient and modern cultures have made the survival of ancient beliefs quite fragile, which is more difficult to protect than other cultural heritage. In particular, the study of the ancestor’s belief lacks the awareness of modern care, lack of cultural and historical research in specific space and time, the lack of ethnography in modern life, how to make this ancient tradition effective in the modern life multiplication and inheritance? Recently , The author read Professor Lin Jifu’s “Qingjiang River Tujia ancestor belief in the modern statement of research” that this book is based on the Qingjiang River Tujia ancestor belief as the object of study, a good solution to the above problems.
