The 500-character “moral classics” is spread all over the world and has many kinds of translations, which are second to none in the Bible. The first sentence of the first chapter of the Book of Moral Scriptures reads: “It is fair to say that it is very good.” Throughout the years scholars have been arguing about the essence of this sentence endlessly, it seems there will be no conclusion. An English translation is so straightforward: TheWay (Tao) thatcanbetoldofisnotanunvaryingWay. Our understanding is “Tao” can search for, but can not use the common thinking.
