通常我们将汉语文字的表意性，语法无形态变化以及语音声调起辨义作用等等视作汉语的一般特征，但是对由此而产生的更为突出之点，或者说汉语最主要的特征，却习焉不察。这个主要的特征就是它的经济性和艺术性。无论是从汉语的语音、文字、词汇、或者是它的语法结构上来看，都可以说明这个特征。本文即尝试从这几个方面作具体阐述，用以说明汉语的经济性和艺术性 Normally, we regard the general characteristics of Chinese as the intelligibility of Chinese characters, the non-morphological changes of grammatical form, and the role of phonological tone. However, for the more prominent points arising from this, or the most important features of Chinese, Yan did not observe. The main feature is its economy and its artistry. Whether from the Chinese voice, text, vocabulary, or its grammatical structure, can illustrate this feature. This article attempts to elaborate from these aspects, to illustrate the economic and artistic Chinese
