Objective To study the expression patterns of estrogen α and β receptors in endometrial endometriosis and adenomyosis of endometriosis and to provide basis for exploring the pathogenesis of endometriosis and adenomyosis . Methods A total of 108 cases of endometriosis with endometriosis, adenomyosis, two syndromes and control group were treated by Noyes staging. Immunohistochemistry was used to observe the expression of estrogen receptor ERα and ERβ in endometrial gland epithelium, stroma and vascular endothelial cells during different menstrual cycles. Results Compared with the control group, there was no significant difference in ERα signal intensity between the corresponding cell types and the corresponding phase in each group. However, the proportion of cells showing positive signals in endometrial glandular epithelial cells, stromal cells and vascular endothelial cells increased, And ER alpha positive signal generally appears in cytoplasm of glandular epithelium. Endometriosis and adenomyosis vascular endothelial cells significantly increased the number of ERα-positive cells. ERβ expression pattern in each group compared with the control group no significant difference, even slightly downward trend. Conclusions ERα is the major receptor subtype of estrogen in human endometrium. The increase of the numbers of ERα-expressing glandular epithelium, stroma and vascular endothelial cells, and the general appearance of ERα-positive signals in the cytoplasm of glandular epithelium may be closely related to the pathogenesis of these two diseases Related; ERβ does not participate in this process.
