对西太平洋M1-1结壳与中太平洋A1-1结壳(该结壳未发现化石)的超微化石及10Be同位素分析和测年结果表明:超微化石生物地层与10Be同位素地层所反映的结壳生长时间有着较好的一致性.两结壳都有3层生长层,最老的生长层生长于中新世,地质时间为12.80Ma.来自中太平洋的A1-1结壳的最大生长速率(8.11mm/Ma)、最小生长速率(1.92mm/Ma)及平均生长速率(3.47mm/Ma)均大于西太平洋M1-1结壳的最大生长速率(2.93mm/Ma)、最小生长速率(0.47mm/Ma)及平均生长速率(0.94mm/Ma).
