翻开欧洲文学发展的史册,当我们把目光投向十九世纪二、三十年代浪漫主义在法国崛起的这些篇页时,雨果、雨果的戏剧《欧那尼》、由《欧那尼》的上演而象惊雷般震破法国文坛沉闷气氛的一幕幕情景,便会象焰火绚丽的光芒那样迸射和闪现在我们的面前。雨果的《欧那尼》之所以会在法国文学史上爆出耀目的火花,是因为在奉“古雅”、“三一律”等为圭臬的伪古典主义和主张接近现实的积极浪漫主义的两军对战中,起到“引爆”和力挫保守营垒的作用,它顺应了“七月革命”前夕法国进步文化奔突跃前的潮流,反映了新兴资产阶级的愿望。
