近期发生的王西麟和郭文景之间的论争,同当年的卞祖善和谭盾之争一样,是一场正常的论争。应该说,争论双方的基调都是严肃认真的,不存在刻意的人身攻击或不良动机。围绕着中国音乐在新时期如何健康发展这个中心问题,争论双方的分歧主要在对这几个方面的认识:第一,音乐的功能问题;第二,民族性与世界性;第三,音乐家的使命和责任。这几个问题,主要牵涉音乐的基本美学理论和应用艺术学,下面我试就这几个问题谈一点不成熟的看法:
The recent controversy between Wang Xilin and Guo Wenjing is the same as that between Bian Zunshan and Tan Dun of the same year. It is a normal debate.
