At present, researches on food safety risk awareness mainly focus on the aspects of social demography, system construction and social psychology, and pay little attention to the perspective of social stratification. Based on the data analysis of “China Social Comprehensive Survey,” the article discusses the impact of social strata on urban and rural residents’ food safety risk awareness. The results show that urban and rural residents have a higher proportion of negative evaluations on food safety, and those in higher strata respond more emotionally to food safety risks, while urban residents are more likely to negatively evaluate food safety; people are concerned about food safety There are differences in urban and rural areas, institutional and educational aspects, but there are common concerns among members of all strata and even if other variables are controlled, this effect still exists. Under the background of market transformation, social strata have a constant influence on food safety risk awareness Enhanced to begin with “Fragmentation ” Trends “Hierarchy ”.
