“五谷道场”名称的由来缘于《黄帝内经》记载的五谷之道。中国几千年来以农立国,稷神崇拜和祭祀之风相延,老百姓对稷的崇拜经历了“稷官—后稷—稷神”的演变后,稷神与社神相提并论,“社稷”则成为国家的象征。在农耕时期,很多发明创造以及农事经验或直接或间接来自于五谷杂粮的种植及其深加工。现代则多数认为“稻、黍、稷、麦、菽”即五谷。自古就有“一谷补一脏”的说法,五谷杂粮可养人体五脏;黄帝内经也说“五谷为养”。现代人患上富贵病等疾病的概率逐年升高,使得越来越多人开始回归到传统饮食的餐桌上,各类五谷杂粮及其衍生品再次成为大家津津乐道的健康食品。
