戴政生的版画与众不同,作品的幅面较大,而且越来越大,他在极力扩展视觉空间,求其心理空间的延伸。散点式的构图,融入了符号组合、抽象意识、理性思考之现代艺术手法,造成强烈的视觉效果。那些富于力度美的刀法组合,那些层次多变而和谐的黑白灰色调,显然使作者的激情得到自由的宣泄,作品的意蕴得到充分的展现。可以说,他的版画语言与时下流行的色彩语言、笔墨语言相比亳不逊色,他闯出了自己的路。
