In this paper, we investigated the changes of the blood cell surface of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes by using fluorescein-labeled maltogenic lectin (WGA) and the blackening reaction after inoculation of microfilaria filariasis in the thoracic cavity. The Aedes aegypti Liverpool black-eye strain was housed in a simulated environment at a temperature of 26.5 ± 1 ° C and a temperature of 75 ± 10% with a light period of 16 hours of light and an 8-hour darkness and an adult mosquito fed 0.3 M sucrose. A single female mosquito was infused with 20 [mu] l of Earle’s Balanced Saline solution into the blood chamber before collecting the lavage fluid.
