Objective: To explore and analyze the relationship between hand hygiene compliance and nosocomial infection in health care workers. METHODS: A total of 131 medical staff from January 2016 to January 2017 were selected as the research subjects to summarize the pass rate of hand hygiene, compliance and the relationship between hand hygiene compliance and nosocomial infection. Results: The passing rate of medical staff hand hygiene was 87.02%. The compliance of hand hygiene after medical treatment was 59.54% higher than that before medical treatment (39.69%), the difference was statistically significant (x2 = 10.321, P = 0.001). The compliance of hand hygiene (70.23%) was higher than that of pre-contact patients (30.53%) after the contact with patients, the difference was statistically significant (x ~ 2 = 10.321, P = 0.001). The incidence of nosocomial infection was 3.99%. The compliance of medical personnel with hand hygiene was 64.89%. The nosocomial infection was negatively correlated with the compliance of hand hygiene of medical staff. Conclusion: The higher compliance of medical staff hand hygiene, the lower the incidence of nosocomial infections, so medical staff should improve compliance with hand hygiene to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infections.
