吉林白鸡配套系选育开始于1978年,1983年参加全国蛋鸡育种攻关,到1986年育种工作阶段结束。采用高度近交、闭锁群家系等方法育成12个品系。进行94个杂交组合的配合力测验。经中试和全国蛋鸡育种攻关随机抽样测定,筛选出吉杂312、吉杂510二个高产配套系,商品鸡饲养日72周龄产蛋总重量分别达14.76和14.67公斤,超过全国蛋鸡育种攻关规定14.5公斤的指标,达国内先进、国际70年代末水平。吉林白鸡良种繁育体系建立,始于1983年,累计饲养种鸡10万只,推广父母代和商品代鉴别鸡雏100万只,增产幅度、经济效益提高23％。解决了我省长期以来迫切需要的高产商品鸡种源问题。
