中国的中元节和日本的盂兰盆节之间存在诸多共同点和差异点。追溯中元节的由来,并根据前辈学人的论点,可以得知,中元节吸取了很多具有不同起源的要素。唐宋时代形成的有关佛教和道教之施饿鬼、普渡的文献,尤其是普渡文献中对于孤魂的理解成为我们探寻中元节的形成过程的重要资料依据。从中我们可以发现一条较为清晰的中元节发展线索:由佛教带来的施饿鬼仪式,其后在佛教和道教的相互影响之下,逐渐演变成为以所有孤魂和死者亡灵为对象的普渡,进而发展成为今日所见之形式。
There are many similarities and differences between the Chinese Yuan Festival and the Japanese Bon Festival.
