Through-wall imaging (TWI) is an emerging field of research that maps the scene behind obstacles (including the walls of buildings, rubber, grass, etc). It has a wide range of applications in the military and commercial spheres, such as antiterrorism, rescue and surveillance missions.[1] Over the last few years,TWI image enhancement has enjoyed increasing interest.[1-4] Unwanted artifacts generated from wall reflections, antenna coupling and ghost targets produce clutters and noise which degrade image quality significantly.[1] These unwanted artifacts should be minimized prior to target detection and recognition steps.
