威廉·莎士比亚(1564-1616)是英国文艺复兴时期伟大的戏剧家和诗人。他也被称为是英国的民族诗人和埃文河畔诗人。莎士比亚的戏剧大都取材于旧有剧本、小说、编年史或民间传说,给旧题材赋予新颖、丰富、深刻的内容。莎士比亚最著名的戏剧之一《罗密欧和朱丽叶》便是由一个意大利故事改编而成。莎士比亚擅长使用简洁的语言,运用了许多的矛盾修辞来创造戏剧效果。本文拟通过分析该剧的经典对白揭示莎士比亚的戏剧的写作特色——矛盾修饰。
William Shakespeare (1564-1616) was a great dramatist and poet in the English Renaissance. He is also known as a British national poet and a poet by the River Avon. Most of Shakespeare’s plays are based on old scripts, novels, chronicle or folklore, and give the old topics new, rich and profound content. One of Shakespeare’s most famous plays, Romeo and Juliet, was adapted from an Italian story. Shakespeare is good at using concise language, using many contradictory rhetoric to create dramatic effects. This article intends to reveal the writing style of Shakespeare ’s drama - contradictory modification by analyzing the classic dialogue of the play.
