A new flow-injection procedure was developed for the determination of thiopronine (MPG) based on the enhancement of the chemiluminescence(CL) reaction of the MPG-cerium(Ⅳ)-hydrocortisone system. The method is simple, selective and sensitive with a detection limit of 5.9×10-7 mol·L-1(S/N=3). It is applicable to the determination of MPG in the concentration range of 3×10-6~2×10-5 mol·L-1. The relative standard deviation (RSD) is 3.2% for 1×10-4 mol·L-1 MPG(n=11). The method was successfully applied to the determination of MPG in tablets.
