芒棒公社蛮乃、田心坝等地区是我县小麦低产区,据调查,土壤缺硼(速效硼含量为0.354PPM)。1983年,我们在该区官家忠、彭正姚两家田中进行施硼试验,增产效果显著。官加忠家在田心坝,播种小麦一亩。品种为980、0103、0376三个。底肥加施硼0.9市斤,其中一分980品种未施硼砂作对照。收获时,施过硼的980品种,每亩有效穗25万,穗粒数为24粒,千粒重44克,折合亩产528市斤;实收3.7厘地,折合亩产508市斤。未施硼的每亩有效穗24万,每穗粒数11粒,千粒重52克,折合亩产274.6市斤;实收2.7厘地,折合亩产267.4市斤。施硼比不施硼的增产90%。
