The United States Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) is a satellite-guided munition. Recently, an infrared imaging seeker capable of improving JDAM accuracy by more than 200% has been successfully tested and is ready for production. This seeker technology is also used for other types of bombs and missiles. JDAM is a free-falling bomb of 45 kg or 90 kg in mass with a Global Positioning System
