I. INTRODUCTION When concrete is poured by pumping, it is necessary to understand the flow characteristics of concrete and estimate the pumping resistance. For this reason, studies on the rheological properties of cement pastes, mortars, and concretes conducted in recent years have been highly effective, demonstrating that the flow characteristics of fresh concrete are similar to Bingham’s fluids. The flow of Bingham bodies through pipelines has been analyzed in many publications in rheology. This article describes the development of concrete pressure sensors, analyzes the pressure loss of concrete in pipelines, and the rheological properties of fresh concrete. In addition, the relationship between pressure loss and rheological properties is also discussed. At the same time, an estimate of pumping is proposed.
