In this paper, I mainly take the novels of the 1920s and 1930s as the main research object. From the perspective of the new modes of transportation presented in the text, this article shows how the “chaos of movement” composed of traffic flow is fully and vivid in metropolitan novels Expression, to discuss the formation of a new rhythm in the city. Both the municipal construction, spiritual life, or the rhythm of literary texts are subject to different degrees of radiation from the new urban rhythm. Some kind of intertextuality of urban rhythm and text rhythm can imply the meaning of urban traffic plus fictional forms.
