我院是一所文、理科综合性民族学院,现有少数民族研究生、本、专科大学生1204人,占在校大学生总数的96%。党的十一届三中全会以来,我院党委本着“坚持标准,保证质量,改善结构,慎重发展”的方针,认真落实党的民族政策和知识分子政策,十分重视在少数民族优秀大学生中发展党员的工作。在1979年至1991年初的11年中,共发展少数民族党员523名,其中大学生471名,占79.5%。从总体上看,这些新发展的少数民族大学生党员素质是好的。其中绝大多数都是品学兼优的优秀生和班团干部,他们在学习和各项活动中充分发挥模范带头作用,影响和带动了一大批学生共同进步。毕业时,绝大多数学生党员,自觉接受党组织的考验,带头服从组织分配,主动要求到农村牧区、到艰苦地方去工作。据我们跟踪调查的情况表明,他们走上工作岗位后,在各级党组织的培养教育下,政治上不断进步,全心全意为各族人民服务这条根在思想中扎得比较深,绝大多数已成为各条战线的工作骨干、业务尖子,其中不少人已走 Our college is a liberal arts and science comprehensive nationalities college, the existing minority graduate students, college students, college students, accounting for 96% of the total number of college students.
