In the 1960s and 1970s, when modernist design was gradually replaced by a superficial style of internationalism, the ideal of modernism was inherited and developed in its place of origin. Design was used as a means of serving the public and idealistic to solve social problems The way of exploration, is still regarded by most German designers. Hans Hillman, a pioneer of modern graphic design in Germany, deeply introspected the design of functionality while creatively introducing the open mind of modern art into the design, making posters out of precise communication with clear social significance . His design practice enriched the connotation of functionalism and extended its extension at the same time, from the poster to the romantic image and the German cultural tradition.
