福州人林庚白是中国同盟会的重要成员,孙中山的忠实信徒和得力助手。作为国民党左派,他较早开始研究马克思主义和社会主义。他与中国现代各党派关系密切,与他交往共事者多是党、政、军、文教、新闻各界的领军人物,所以自道“身是中华废兴史”。他又是对二十世纪初中国文坛颇具影响力的南社健将,擅长古典诗词创作,也不排斥白话语体诗文的写作。他积极投身于白话语体诗文创作的实践,办刊办报、讲学著述,提出自己的文艺创作思想。他还精于命理之学,著有《人鉴》等。他擅长时政研究,敏锐独到,所著政论文涉及政党政治、宪政法治、国共关系、外交、女权、教育、民生、抗日战争、知识分子、国民性、民族复兴等。对林庚白的研究,有助于深刻认识中国现代社会转型的道路选择和理论建构的内在关联。 Fuzhou people Lin Geng Bai is an important member of the Chinese League, Sun Yat-sen’s loyal followers and effective assistant.
