每个具有远大理想的企业似乎总是早早就彰显自己的不凡之处。1920年代,当托马斯·沃森开始正式拥有IBM的前身CTR时,这个公司就表现得与众不同。其时“前IBM”的员工工资就已经比一般工厂的工人工资要高,工作场所非常干净、整洁。下班以后,工人还可以参加免费的音乐会,而且公司要求工人上夜校以了解被提升的机会和程序,最重要的是,他们的工装上都印着“THINK”的标志,鼓励员工只有多动脑筋才可以前进得更快。这个核心价值逐渐被世人所广泛认同且赞赏,并至今仍然为接手IBM个人电脑业务的联想企业所采用。
Every company with lofty ideals seems to always highlight its own extraordinary place.
