Brown pursues purity and kindness, disgusts evil, but the inherent pride in human nature makes him subconsciously question the human nature of others. Brown’s dreams in the woods showed that he lost his faith in human nature and God and formed a radical concept that everyone in the world is evil and that I am alone.
