任何一门文化艺术的发展都是不断吸收优秀外来文化同时融合本土文化精髓的过程,书籍插画艺术也不例外。20世纪初正是个东西方文化激烈碰撞的特殊时代,在这个时期的中国的书籍装帧艺术正发生着颠覆性的变化。在新文化运动的推动下,书籍插画艺术形成了中国早期现代书籍设计的雏形。同时在这个时期出现了一大批优秀的中国书籍艺术新的缔造者,陶元庆是这当中最具由代表性、成就最大的一位。通过对陶元庆的一系列代表作的分析,深刻地了解了他那中西合壁插画风格对今后中国书籍插画艺术的影响。传承他所提倡的以民族文化为基础敢于创新设计精神这对于我们当今的书籍设计工作者由切实的意义。
The development of any one culture and art is the process of constantly absorbing the excellent foreign cultures and integrating the essence of local culture.
