The famous Russian physicist Peter Capizha made many important achievements in the extreme conditions of super-magnetic field and cryogenic temperature: the famous Kapitzer’s law was obtained; the thermal resistance of Kapitha and He II Super mobility; the general theory of magnetron electronic device has been developed; the magnetron oscillator has been built up in continuous operation; the hypothesis about the nature of spherical lightning has been put forward. In 1978, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for his outstanding contribution to low temperature physics, making him one of the oldest winners in the history of the Nobel Prize in Physics.
