早在20世纪二三十年代之交,刘呐鸥即初步提出了一个涵括电影本体论、电影艺术论以及电影批评论在内的相对完整的电影理论架构。在某种程度上,可以将刘呐鸥视为20世纪30年代中国新兴电影运动的前驱者。他从遥远的西方将新知引介到了中国影坛,从而为不久即将到来的新兴电影运动做了旧观念的清理和新理论的准备工作。
As early as the turn of the twenties and thirties of the twentieth century, Liu Naou initially proposed a relatively complete film theory framework that includes film ontology, film art theory and film criticism. To some extent, Liu Naou can be seen as a pioneer of the new Chinese film movement of the 1930s. He introduced the novelist to the Chinese cinema from far west, thus clearing the old ideas and preparing new theories for the forthcoming emerging film movement.
